GERMANWINGS TO START COLOGNE-OHRID FLIGHTS ON 16 JUNET
he German low-cost airline Germanwingswill be flying from Cologne to Ohrid and back twice a week from 16 June to 26 August, the web portal Total reported.
"We received an offer from this airline and a month ago we gave them consent for making landings at Ohrid Airport," said Tomislav Tuntev, director of the sector for traffic at Ohrid Airport. In his view, Germanwings said their planes would be flying to Ohrid during the summer and, if there is interest, throughout the year as well.
Representatives of the Skopje travel agency Skywings, a representative of Germanwings, say that one-way and return tickets will cost 100 euros and 200 euros respectively.
Germanwings is a German discount airline offering cheap flights to all the main airports in Europe. A special discount is granted provided that the client books the flight earlier. In addition, cheap hotel accommodation in Germany is being offered.
Cologne will be the third German city, after Hamburg and Dusseldrof, connected to Ohrid by air.
